Aug 27, 2020·Venture Minerals (VMS) has begun dry screening and other mining operations at the Riley Iron Ore Mine in northwest Tasmania. The last two weeks have been spent on preparing for the mining and dry screening activities with hire equipment being brought to site to establish mining areas and accelerate dry screening.
Before commercialization, the extracted iron is crushed into small pieces and classified according to the rock sizes. In this process, the ore is screened throughscreens, where the separation is made according to a standard product specification. The size classification by screening is one of the most important phases of production.
